Maid in Frisco began offering eco-friendly cleanings in 2007. The genesis of the company, however, started much earlier. My family and I moved to the Frisco area from Oklahoma City in 2004. Our third child, Will, had just been born, and because of allergy problems our younger two children had had, we decided to forgo daycare, and hire a live-in nanny instead. Since Will was a baby, he didn’t require a lot of care, so our nanny did light cleaning. As he got older, however, her time was full, so we made plans to hire a cleaner. I started doing research, and was surprised at the lack of response my phone calls and emails got. For every ten companies contacted, I received one or two responses. After several weeks of this, I picked the best of the lot and hired them for biweekly cleanings.
I was so excited to get a deep, thorough cleaning every two weeks. Unfortunately, with each cleaning, something was always missed. I gave the cleaners my feedback, and they always promised to do better. They never missed the same area twice, but nevertheless, some area always went uncleaned.
After two years of this, I had gotten a tip from a friend on a couple that she used. We decided to give them a try, and they turned out to be the real deal. Every two weeks, I came home to an immaculate house.
After a few cleanings, however, I noticed that Will was breaking out into a rash. I traced it back to the products the cleaners used. Previously, I had used organic cleaners, but our new cleaners didn’t want to use them, claiming they did not clean as well, and that they had to work harder to get the same results.
I reasoned that if organic cleaning was important to me, in Frisco, with 67% of the population having young children, perhaps it was important to others as well.
I saw an opportunity. My research began.
To create Maid in Frisco, I combined the same high standards that our cleaners used, and added organic cleaning products to the mix. I took it one step further by using HEPA filtered vacuums, which cleans the air like an air purifier, and microfiber cloths, which grabs onto dust like a Swiffer, but can be reused 100’s of times, rather than going into a landfill.
When we launched in 2007, it became apparent that others felt the same way I did about organic cleaning. Now, fourteen years later, we have 250+ weekly, biweekly and monthly customers.

The main reason I love owning Maid in Frisco is this: I can create it to be anything. I can work hard to make it the best company anywhere.

We are also so happy to provide free monthly house cleanings for women in our community with cancer. Me and my father are both cancer survivors, so it is especially close to my heart to be a part of Cleaning for a Reason.
